BHAVAN'S FAITH
The Bhavan stands for the reintegration of Indian Culture. In a world falling to pieces under the impact of an amoral technological avalanche, it tries to hold fast to the fundamental values for which our culture stands - RITA, SATYA, YAGNA and TAPAS:
1. FAITH in God who informs the Cosmic Order;
2. TRUTH which is accord between mind and word and deed;
3. DEDICATION which offers all moments of life as an offering to God;
4. SUBLIMATION which purifies the body and mind and transmutes instincts, passions and emotions into things of beauty.
This, regardless of forms and doctrines, is Dharma, the three-fold aspects of which are SATHYAM, SHIVAM, SUNDARAM - Truth, Love and Beauty. For these values our forefathers lived and died. So did Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Dayananda, Swami Vivekananda,Gandhiji and Sri Aurobindo among the moderns.
These values are embedded in our national outlook.
We command the respect of the world because of them.
We can look forward to the future withconfidence only.
Because they have the vitality which gives the power to vindicate their validity even in this fear and avarice ridden age of ours.
We, the Bhavan's family, whether it is the smaller one or the larger one, must take every effort in restoring an awareness of these values in personal and collective life.
Bhavan believes in "Sarva Dharma Samabhava"
- Equal Respect To All Religion.

Om. That is perfect, this is perfect, from the perfect arises the perfect. Taking the perfect from the perfect, the perfect alone remains. All that there is, is in-formed and enveloped by the Lord; Whatever that moving thing that is this moving world, Thou shouldst only enjoy it, by giving it up. Covet not the possessions of any man. Om! May He (the Lord) protect us both together; May He nourish us both together; May we work together with great vigour; May our studies shine and be effective; May we not hate others. Om, Let there be peace, and peace, and peace! Om!
THE CHRISTIAN PRAYER
The Lord is my Shepherd

Near restful waters He leads me
To revive my drooping spirit

There is nothing I shall want
